Yom Shabbat, 9 Adar 5778

We have a wonderful relationship with the UGA Hillel House. We invite any college students to visit us, and we are thrilled to host UGA students at our High Holiday services (free of charge). Many of our Religious School teachers are UGA students, and many of our congregants are affiliated with the university in various ways.

In September, 2008, a group of CCI Congregants along with a few non-Jewish film enthusiasts from the Athens area began discussing the possibility of establishing a Jewish Film Festival to be presented in the newly established Cine Art House. The group received enthusiastic support from the community. A Board of Directors was formed, it incorporated, became a Federal non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and presented the first annual Athens Jewish Film Festival in February 2009. The Athens Jewish Film Festival continues to present Jewish film programming year-round and its main event is held in late winter or early spring annually. Want to become involved in this successful Jewish event in Athens? For more information visit their Web site.

There are many paths to community. Congregants can choose from a wide range of groups and activities, including Youth Groups, Chai Young Adults, Young Working Women, Havurot and Expedition Groups, Men's Club and Sisterhood.
